...to have a fantastic birthday? Not me!
This year, my fabulous husband treated me to a beach weekend complete with ocean front room, walks on the beach, and fireworks viewed from our balcony. Okay, the fireworks were coincidence but wonderful none the less. Fireworks and my birthday go together, they were exploding outside of the hospital window while my mother was giving birth to me.
My birthday didn't end at the beach. When we got home I was treated to dinner and fabulous fashionista gifts from family and friends.
This book is gorgeous and I can't wait to read it.
RELAX
I love love love this movie! Seriously, if you haven't seen it you must.
ROCK ON

I am so psyched about these cuffs! They are made from vegetable parchment and copper, and like these, mine is made from Beets. They are by artist Margaret Dorfman and you can get your own at uncommon goods.
RENEW
I have blogged about Worn Fashion Journal before and receiving a renewed subscription for 2 more years made me happy as a lark. It is truly the best independent fashion magazine I have found.
REFASHION
Also available at uncommon goods, necklaces by designer Laura Skelton made from recycled ties. She is a thrifter, like myself, and also committed to using sustainable materials. Green Girls Unite!
So, I say YAY! to random birthday ages and the beauty of the unexpected. I think I'll do it again next year.
